My love for Israel, and specifically Tel Aviv, started when I met one of my mentors Rabbi Groenteman. Rabbi Groenteman was able to teach me about life, spirituality, and the importance of giving back whenever you can. While teaching, he would take us to the colorful Israel and all the beauty it can bring. Visiting my dear friend in his home country felt like being in the right place, at the right time. It was very important for me to capture the wonderful lessons Rabbi Groenteman taught me and the sense of belonging he gifted me. This painting is truly a tribute to that.
