I have always enjoyed watching top athletes strive for greatness. I love seeing their drive for success, and having athletes represent your home country adds to this joy. Using cars as the focus points of my paintings is a true passion, and as such, capturing the Dutch talent Max Verstappen was a project I could not pass on. It was important for me to capture his focus on becoming the best Formula-1 driver in the car he achieved his first victory.
